From May 16 – 19, Vital Strategies is at the Women Deliver Conference in Copenhagen, talking about our lifesaving maternal health work and participating in conversations on how the recently adopted 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development can accelerate progress for women and girls. Whether you’re there or not, you can participate in helping articulate our shared vision for the future on social media, using the #iDeliver hashtag.
Through adopting global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) governments around the world committed to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all (SDG3) and to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls (SDG5).There are gender-sensitive targets included in some of the other goals, too. Citizens, civil society and governments all need to play their part so these goals can be achieved.
In Copenhagen, the Women Deliver Conference will bring together experts to discuss how we can deliver progress. Join the discussion by sharing your own aspirations for women and girls – or what you’re doing to invest in women and girls – on social media. All you need to do is take a sheet of paper, write down a short message related to women’s health, empowerment, gender parity or women’s rights. Or share your aspirations for your own daughter or girls in your community.
Take a photo of yourself holding the message, then tweet it on Twitter, or post on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #IDeliver.
If you’re at the Women Deliver Conference, stop by the Vital Strategies booth (C3-046) and we’ll take the photo for you.
And if you mention Vital Strategies using our handle @VitalStrat, we’ll feature your photo on the video wall at our booth at Women Deliver.
